KJV : And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:

ESV : and keep the charge of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,
ERVEN : Now, carefully obey all the commands of the Lord your God. Carefully obey all his laws, commands, decisions, and agreements. Obey everything that is written in the Law of Moses. If you do this, you will be successful at whatever you do and wherever you go.

MOV : മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വഴികളിൽ നടന്നു അവന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും വിധികളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ ആജ്ഞ അനുസരിച്ചുകൊൾക.
KJV : That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.
YLT : so that Jehovah doth establish His word which He spake unto me, saying, If thy sons observe their way to walk before Me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul; saying, There is not cut off a man of thine from the throne of Israel.
RV : That the LORD may establish his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.
RSV : that the LORD may establish his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, `If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.'
ASV : That Jehovah may establish his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.
ESV : that the LORD may establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, 'If your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.'
ERVEN : And if you obey the Lord, he will keep his promise about me. He said, 'If your sons carefully live the way I tell them, sincerely, with all their heart, the king of Israel will always be a man from your family.'"

ASV : Moreover thou knowest also what Joab the son of Zeruiah did unto me, even what he did to the two captains of the hosts of Israel, unto Abner the son of Ner, and unto Amasa the son of Jether, whom he slew, and shed the blood of war in peace, and put the blood of war upon his girdle that was about his loins, and in his shoes that were on his feet.
ESV : "Moreover, you also know what Joab the son of Zeruiah did to me, how he dealt with the two commanders of the armies of Israel, Abner the son of Ner, and Amasa the son of Jether, whom he killed, avenging in time of peace for blood that had been shed in war, and putting the blood of war on the belt around his waist and on the sandals on his feet.
ERVEN : David also said, "You remember what Joab son of Zeruiah did to me. He killed two of the commanders of Israel's army, Abner son of Ner and Amasa son of Jether. Remember, it was during a time of peace when he spilled the blood that splattered onto his sword belt and army boots. I should have punished him then.

KJV : But shew kindness unto the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at thy table: for so they came to me when I fled because of Absalom thy brother.
YLT : `And to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite thou dost do kindness, and they have been among those eating at thy table, for so they drew near unto me in my fleeing from the face of Absalom thy brother.

MOV : പിന്നെ ബഹൂരീമിലെ ബെന്യാമീന്യനായ ഗേരയുടെ മകൻ ശിമെയി എന്നൊരുവൻ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; ഞാൻ മഹനയീമിലേക്കു പോകുന്ന ദിവസം അവൻ എന്നെ കഠിനശാപത്തോടെ ശപിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവൻ യോർദ്ദാങ്കൽ എന്നെ എതിരേറ്റുവന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ വാൾകൊണ്ടു കൊല്ലുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവാനാമത്തിൽ അവനോടു സത്യംചെയ്തു.
KJV : And, behold, [thou hast] with thee Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, which cursed me with a grievous curse in the day when I went to Mahanaim: but he came down to meet me at Jordan, and I sware to him by the LORD, saying, I will not put thee to death with the sword.
YLT : `And lo, with thee [is] Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite of Bahurim, and he reviled me -- a grievous reviling -- in the day of my going to Mahanaim; and he hath come down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swear to him by Jehovah, saying, I do not put thee to death by the sword;

MOV : എന്നാൽ നീ അവനെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിടരുതു; നീ ബുദ്ധിമാനല്ലോ; അവനോടു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണമെന്നു നീ അറിയും; അവന്റെ നരയെ രക്തത്തോടെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു അയക്കുക.
KJV : Now therefore hold him not guiltless: for thou [art] a wise man, and knowest what thou oughtest to do unto him; but his hoar head bring thou down to the grave with blood.
YLT : and now, acquit him not, for a wise man thou [art], and thou hast known that which thou dost to him, and hast brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.`
RV : Now therefore hold him not guiltless, for thou art a wise man; and thou wilt know what thou oughtest to do unto him, and thou shalt bring his hoar head down to the grave with blood.

ESV : Then Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. And she said, "Do you come peacefully?" He said, "Peacefully."
ERVEN : One day Adonijah, the son of Haggith, went to Solomon's mother, Bathsheba. She asked him, "Do you come in peace?" Adonijah answered, "Yes, this is a peaceful visit.

MOV : അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: രാജത്വം എനിക്കുള്ളതായിരുന്നു; ഞാൻ വാഴേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; എന്നാൽ രാജത്വം മറിഞ്ഞു എന്റെ സഹോദരന്നു ആയിപ്പോയി; യഹോവയാൽ അതു അവന്നു ലഭിച്ചു.
KJV : And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and [that] all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brother’s: for it was his from the LORD.
YLT : And he saith, `Thou hast known that the kingdom was mine, and towards me set their faces had all Israel for reigning, and the kingdom is turned round about, and is my brother`s, for from Jehovah it was his;
RV : And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brother-s: for it was his from the LORD.
RSV : He said, "You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel fully expected me to reign; however the kingdom has turned about and become my brother's, for it was his from the LORD.
ASV : And he said, Thou knowest that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel set their faces on me, that I should reign: howbeit the kingdom is turned about, and is become my brothers; for it was his from Jehovah.
ESV : He said, "You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel fully expected me to reign. However, the kingdom has turned about and become my brother's, for it was his from the LORD.
ERVEN : Adonijah said, "You know that at one time the kingdom was mine. All the people of Israel wanted me to be their king. But things have changed, and now my brother is the king. The Lord chose him to be king.

MOV : എന്നാൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ഒരു കാര്യം അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; അതു തള്ളിക്കളയരുതേ. നീ പറക എന്നു അവൾ പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And now I ask one petition of thee, deny me not. And she said unto him, Say on.

ERVEN : But now I have one thing to ask you. Please don't refuse me." Bathsheba answered, "What do you want?"

MOV : അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: ശൂനേംകാരത്തിയായ അബീശഗിനെ എനിക്കു ഭാര്യയായിട്ടു തരുവാൻ ശലോമോൻ രാജാവിനോടു പറയേണമേ; അവൻ നിന്റെ അപേക്ഷ തള്ളുകയില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And he said, Speak, I pray thee, unto Solomon the king, (for he will not say thee nay,) that he give me Abishag the Shunammite to wife.
YLT : And he saith, `Speak, I pray thee, to Solomon the king, for he doth not turn back thy face, and he doth give to me Abishag the Shunammite for a wife.`
RV : And he said, Speak, I pray thee, unto Solomon the king, (for he will not say thee nay,) that he give me Abishag the Shunammite to wife.
RSV : And he said, "Pray ask King Solomon -- he will not refuse you -- to give me Abishag the Shunammite as my wife."
ASV : And he said, Speak, I pray thee, unto Solomon the king (for he will not say thee nay), that he give me Abishag the Shunammite to wife.
ESV : And he said, "Please ask King Solomon- he will not refuse you- to give me Abishag the Shunammite as my wife."
ERVEN : Adonijah said, "I know that King Solomon will do whatever you ask. So please ask him to let me marry Abishag, the woman from Shunem."

MOV : ആകട്ടെ; ഞാൻ നിനക്കുവേണ്ടി രാജാവിനോടു സംസാരിക്കാം എന്നു ബത്ത്-ശേബ പറഞ്ഞു.
KJV : And Bath-sheba said, Well; I will speak for thee unto the king.

ERVEN : The king commanded Benaiah, "Do as he says! Kill him there and take him out to bury him. Then my family and I will be free of Joab's guilt from killing innocent people.

ESV : The LORD will bring back his bloody deeds on his own head, because, without the knowledge of my father David, he attacked and killed with the sword two men more righteous and better than himself, Abner the son of Ner, commander of the army of Israel, and Amasa the son of Jether, commander of the army of Judah.
ERVEN : Joab killed two men who were much better than he was. He killed Abner son of Ner, the commander of the army of Israel, and Amasa son of Jether, the commander of the army of Judah. He did this without my father's knowledge. But now the Lord will punish Joab for the men he killed.
